News: Pasco County collision involving SUV and tractor-trailer kills Dade City woman

DADE CITY, FL – An SUV and a tractor-trailer were involved in a deadly collision in Pasco County on Monday afternoon, reports Pasco News Online.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck, which occurred at the intersection of US-301 and the US-98 Bypass.

The FHP has learned that the driver of the tractor-trailer was heading north on US-301 at about 3:05 p.m. when he tried to make a left turn at the intersection and entered the path of a southbound Jeep Cherokee, with the two vehicles then colliding.

The Jeep driver, a 75-year-old woman from Dade City, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.    The driver of the tractor-trailer was a 21-year-old man from Fresno, California.
