ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office and emergency crews were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon, WCJB reported.
The vehicles collided on Interstate 75 northbound near mile marker 374 in the vicinity of the Micanopy exit, causing one of the vehicles to roll over. Three children were injured in the accident and were transported to an area hospital as trauma alerts. No details were released regarding the severity of the injuries.
Northbound I-75 was restricted to one lane during the crash response and investigation, with all lanes reopening later in the afternoon.
