News: Driver killed in single-vehicle crash on Wiscon Road in Brooksville

BROOKSVILLE, FL – State troopers have released details of a fatal single-vehicle accident that occurred in Brooksville on Monday morning, reports the Hernando Sun.

Authorities responded to the scene on Wiscon Road near Mobley Road after the crash took place at about 7:45 a.m.

The Florida Highway Patrol’s investigation found that a woman was driving a Nissan Altima sedan westbound when she control of the vehicle.  The Nissan ran off the road, went onto the north shoulder and crashed into a tree.

The driver, a 54-year-old Brooksville woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The FHP said she was not wearing a seat belt at the time the wreck happened.
