News: Injuries reported after collision involving Citrus County school bus

CITRUS HILLS, FL – A driver and one child were injured following a crash between a car and a school bus in Citrus County Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Citrus County Chronicle, a man in a Toyota Venza ran a red light at County Road 486 and North Annapolis Avenue when he struck the left side of the school bus.

The man, a 33-year-old Hernando resident, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Ocala Regional Medical Center.

A 4- year-old boy in the Toyota also may have been injured.

21 Citrus Springs Middle School students were occupants on the bus during the crash. One child suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The bus driver was uninjured.
