News: Man, 27, killed when crashes into tree along County Road 419

LAKE COUNTY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal single-vehicle accident that occurred in Lake County early Saturday morning.

According to WKMG, a 27-year-old man was driving north on County Road when the incident occurred at about 5:12 a.m.  The FHP said the driver lost control of his 2016 Nissan Versa near Dairy Road and ran off the road, where the car crashed into a tree.

The driver, an Umatilla resident, died after being transported to an area hospital.  He was not believed to have been wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
