News: Vehicle crashes into bank on U.S. 19 in New Port Richey

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL – New Port Richey police and fire crews were dispatched to a car accident at a local bank on Monday morning, Tampa Bay 28 reports.

The incident took place in the area of U.S. 19 and Marine Parkway, where an SUV crashed into a Chase Bank at about 10:52 a.m.  According to the initial investigation, the driver of the vehicle sped over the curb accidentally and then collided with the building.

No injuries were reported for the occupants of the vehicle or those who were in the bank at the time.   The bank was closed down following the crash.

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the incident.  No other vehicles were involved.
