News: Woman killed, 2 seriously injured in US-19 crash

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL – A 67-year-old died and two others were seriously injured after a crash on US Highway 19 Friday.

According to Sun Coast News, the collision happened at the intersection of US 19 and Happy Days Drive.

An SUV driven by an 18-year-old with a 67-year-old passenger, both from Weeki Wachee, was stopped at the intersection. A 25-year-old male from Crystal River was traveling in a sedan southbound on the highway when he turned into the path of the SUV, striking the vehicle.

The 67-year-old woman was rushed to a hospital where she died of her injuries. Both drivers were seriously injured.
