News: Woman killed in single-vehicle crash near Homestead

MIAMI-DADE CO., FL – A woman suffered fatal injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Florida’s Turnpike early Friday.

According to the Miami Herald, the crash happened at about 2:15 a.m. near Exit 2 to Campbell Drive.

Trooper say the woman was heading south on the turnpike when she lost control of her 2013 Buick for unknown reasons and crashed into a concrete barrier. The vehicle then veered to the right and struck a guardrail.

The unidentified woman was not wearing a seatbelt when he crash occurred. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A front-seat passenger in the Buick suffered minor injuries.
