PASCO COUNTY, FL – Two teenagers were killed when their car was involved in a rollover wreck in Pasco County early Monday, state troopers said.

A report by WTFS states that a total of five teens were in the vehicle when the accident occurred on US-41 in Lutz shortly after midnight.  The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of a 2011 Honda Accord lost control of the vehicle near Northwood Drive and crashed into a ditch, where the car then overturned.

The driver, a 18-year-old Land O’Lakes man, and a back seat passenger, a 19-year-old Spring Hill woman, were thrown from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.  The victims were not wearing seat belts, according to troopers.

The three other passengers, ranging in age from 16 to 18, sustained minor injuries.  They were reported to have been wearing seat belts.
