News: Driver sought in hit-and-run death of pedestrian in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run incident that killed a pedestrian in Orange County, WKMG reports.

The incident happened in the vicinity of 10th Street and Belvedere Road Feb. 5 at about 7 p.m.  The FHP said a man was believed to have been walking north on the west shoulder of 10th Street when he was struck by a southbound vehicle approaching Belvedere Road.

The 47-year-old victim was found on the shoulder by a bicyclist and was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.

No details were immediately available on the vehicle troopers are searching for.
