News: Motorcycle rider, 75, dies in collision on Interstate 75 ramp

PASCO COUNTY, FL – A multi-vehicle accident in Pasco County left a motorcycle rider dead, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to a report by WFLA, the incident happened Sunday night on Interstate 75 near Blanton Road in Dade City at about 6:35 p.m.

The FHP said a 75-year-old motorcyclist was trying to merge from the I-75 entrance ramp and collided with a sedan in the right lane.  The motorcycle kept going into the center lane and was hit by a pickup truck.

The motorcycle rider, a Hudson resident, was pronounced dead at an area hospital.  No other injuries were reported.
