News: Motorcyclist dies after crashing into back of car in Palm Harbor

PALM HARBOR, FL – A man died after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car in Palm Harbor last week, reports WTSP.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist was riding north on U.S. 19 Wednesday when the accident occurred at about 8:45 p.m.

State troopers said the motorcycle rider was trying to pass a northbound sedan near Pine Ridge Way when the bike crashed into the back of the car.

The motorcyclist, a 21-year-old Hudson man, was pronounced dead later after being taken to an area hospital.  He was wearing a helmet when the wreck occurred.  The driver of the sedan, a 22-year-old man from New Port Richey, sustained minor injuries.
