LADY LAKE, FL – Police in Lady Lake were at the scene of a crash that critically injured a motorcycle rider Sunday morning.
The Villages-News reports the accident took place at the intersection of County Road 466 and Rolling Acres Road at about 11 a.m.
According to investigators, the driver of an SUV going east on County Road 466 made a left turn onto Rolling Acres Road and entered the path of a motorcyclist who was driving west on County Road 466.
The vehicles collided, and the motorcycle rider was flown to an area hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.
Traffic through the area was affected for about three hours while police were investigating the accident.
