News: Motorcyclist killed after running red light, crashing in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, FL – A motorcyclist was killed and another person as hospitalized following a collision in Gainesville on Thursday afternoon.

According to a report by the Alachua Chronicle, the crash happened when the motorcyclist ran the red light at NW 39th Avenue and NW 24th Boulevard at a high rate of speed, and collided with a sedan.

The motorcyclist, whose identity is unclear at this time, suffered fatal injuries in the wreck.

The driver of the sedan was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
