Port Richey man struck, killed by car at intersection in Pasco County


PASCO COUNTY, FL – State troopers said a pedestrian accident in Pasco County Thursday night left a Port Richey man dead.

According to WTSP, the crash occurred at the intersection of Old County Road 54 and Erin Brook Drive.  The Florida Highway Patrol’s investigation found that the victim was walking in the middle of the intersection at 10:41 p.m. when he was struck by an eastbound Dodge Charger driven by a 21-year-old New Port Richey man.

The 68-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not released.

The FHP is continuing its investigation into the crash and said that so far no charges have been filed.
