ORANGE COUNTY, FL – Five people were injured in a collision in Orange County Saturday morning, reports WKMG.

The Florida Highway Patrol said a sedan and a dump truck crashed on State Road 417 at the John Young Parkway Toll Plaza.

According to the FHP, the man driving the sedan made an improper lane change on SR-417 and entered the path of the dump truck.  The vehicles collided and the truck overturned, hitting a wall barrier, a guardrail and a pole.

Four people in the sedan, the driver and three children ages 16, 15 and 9, sustained minor injuries and stayed at the scene.  All are from Salisbury, Maryland.  The truck driver was taken to a hospital with injuries not regarded as life-threatening..

The crash caused the truck to spill construction debris onto the roadway.  All northbound E-PASS lanes at the toll plaza were shut down for several hours for the cleanup.
