News: Crash at intersection in Alachua County leaves 6 injured, 2 critically


GAINESVILLE, FL – A single-vehicle accident in Alachua County on Friday left six people injured, two critically.

According to WCJB, the incident happened at the intersection of Southwest Archer Road and 16th Avenue.

Rescue crews from Alachua County and Gainesville responded to the scene and found that a man, his mother and four children had been injured in the wreck.  The injured victims were taken to an area hospital, where two of the four children were listed in critical condition.

Lanes were shut down on Archer Road for the crash response before reopening later on.
