News: Motorcyclist killed in collision with vehicle towing boat in Hudson

HUDSON, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol has released details of a fatal motorcycle accident in Pasco County, WFTS reports.

The crash, involving a motorcycle and another vehicle, occurred at an intersection in Hudson on Saturday afternoon.

According to the FHP, the rider of a Harley Davidson motorcycle was going north on Woodbine Drive behind a GMC Sierra that was towing a boat.  When the GMC driver tried to turn left at the intersection with Powderhorn Row, the motorcyclist tried to pass the vehicle and collided with it.

The motorcycle rider, a 76-year-old man from Hudson, was ejected from his bike and died at the scene.  The GMC driver, a 58-year-old man from New Port Richey, was not injured.
