PASCO COUNTY, FL – Pasco County Fire Rescue reported it was at the scene of a crash Thursday afternoon that left four people injured.

The incident took place in the area of State Road 54 and Lakepointe Parkway.  The Florida Highway Patrol told WFLA that three drivers had stopped for traffic at that location.  Another driver, age 26, failed to stop and tried to avoid a collision but ended up hitting a stopped vehicle which collided with another vehicle.

The FHP said the 26-year-old kept heading east, hit the passenger side of a third vehicle, steered to the left and hit the tail light of a fourth vehicle.

Two adults and two children were taken to the hospital.  The children, ages 7 and 3, suffered injuries that were described as life-threatening.
