OCALA, FL – Ocala Fire Rescue reports a driver was hospitalized following a rollover accident in Ocala on Monday afternoon.
First responders were dispatched to the intersection of SW College Road and SW 27th Avenue after the incident happened shortly after 3:30 p.m.
They found a red SUV on its roof blocking the southbound lanes of SW 27th Avenue, and a sedan parked at a nearby establishment.
Firefighters and rescue crews stabilized the SUV and removed both driver’s side doors. They extricated the driver, who was taken to an area hospital for evaluation. No other injuries were reported.
Along with Ocala Fire Rescue, the Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded to the crash scene.
