by

DUNNELLON, FL – State troopers said a sport utility vehicle collided with a Marion County school bus on Tuesday morning, reports the Ocala-News.

The incident took place near the intersection of SW 155th Street and SW 100th Avenue in Dunnellon at about 7:15 a.m.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the school bus had stopped in the eastbound lanes of SW 155th Street with its stop signals displayed as a 15-year-old student was getting on board.  At that time, a 74-year-old Dunnellon woman was driving an SUV eastbound on SW 155th Street and failed to safely come to a stop, crashing into the back of the school bus.

No injuries were reported for anyone on the school bus, which was carrying 23 students, or the driver of the SUV.
