OCALA, FL – The Ocala Police Department said one person was killed and another injured in a crash last week.

In a Facebook post, police said officers responded to the intersection of NW 10th Street and N Pine Avenue on Tuesday evening at about 6:45 p.m.  A motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at that location.

Two people on the motorcycle, a man and a woman, were taken to an area hospital where the woman died later.  Her name was not released.

All north and southbound lanes on Pine Avenue were blocked from NW 20th Street to NW 8th Street, and all east and westbound lanes on NW 10th Street were blocked from N Magnolia and NW 6th Avenue while the scene was being cleared.
