News: Pasco County collision involving SUV and tractor-trailer kills Dade City woman

DADE CITY, FL – An SUV and a tractor-trailer were involved in a deadly collision in Pasco County on Monday afternoon, reports Pasco News Online.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck, which occurred at the intersection of US-301 and the US-98 Bypass.

The FHP has learned that the driver of the tractor-trailer was heading north on US-301 at about 3:05 p.m. when he tried to make a left turn at the intersection and entered the path of a southbound Jeep Cherokee, with the two vehicles then colliding.

News: Driver killed in head-on collision with tractor-trailer on U.S. 301

DADE CITY, FL – One person was killed and another injured in a collision involving a wrong-way driver in Pasco County on Friday morning, Pasco News Online reports.

The crash, involving a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer, occurred on U.S. 301 in Dade City shortly before 5 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said a man was driving a GMC Sierra south in the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a northbound tractor-trailer near Mickler Road.

The Sierra driver, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver, a 41-year-old Haines City man, was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

News: Head-on collision on US-98 in Dade City kills 1, injures 3

DADE CITY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said two vehicles were involved in a deadly head-on collision Friday evening in Pasco County.

According to a report by WKMG, the crash happened on U.S. 98 near Stanton Hill Drive in Dade City at about 7 p.m.

The FHP’s initial investigation found that the driver of a Genesis GV80 was heading south on U.S. 98 when he tried to pass another vehicle. The Genesis entered the path of a northbound Kia Soul, and the vehicles collided. The Genesis ended up in the travel lanes while the Kia came to rest on the shoulder.

News: Brooksville man, 73, dies after motorcycle rear-ends vehicle on US-301

PASCO COUNTY, FL – A rear-end collision in Pasco County on Sunday afternoon claimed the life of a motorcyclist, Pasco News Online reports.

The incident took place in the 21000 block of US-301 in Dade City. The Florida Highway Patrol determined that the driver of a Cadillac Escalade had stopped to turn into a driveway at that location, and was struck from behind by a motorcycle going north on US-301.

The motorcycle rider, a 73-year-old man from Brooksville, was killed. The Escalade driver, a 56-year-old woman, was not injured in the collision, which remains under investigation by the FHP.

News: Man seriously injured when motorcycle collides with SUV in Dade City

DADE CITY, FL – A collision in Dade City on Friday morning sent a motorcycle rider to the hospital, Pasco News Online reported.

The Florida Highway Patrol’s investigation found that the driver of a Jeep Renegade was headed west on Blanton Road near Interstate 75 when he tried to make a U-turn.

The Jeep entered the path of a Yamaha motorcycle going east, and the SUV was hit by the motorcycle. The motorcyclist, a 34-year-old man from Zephyrhills, was seriously injured.

News: Woman, 70, dies following wrong-way accident in Dade City

DADE CITY, FL – A driver was killed in a wrong-way accident in Pasco County on Wednesday, Pasco News Online reports.

It happened in the area of 7th Street and Robinson Avenue in Dade City shortly before 5:30 p.m.

An investigation determined that a woman was driving a Chevy Cavalier southbound in the northbound lane on 7th Street. The driver of a southbound Ford Ranger was attempting to make a left turn at the intersection with Robinson Avenue and collided with the Cavalier, causing the Chevy to veer off the road and crash into a building.

News: Dade City man struck, killed by pickup truck on US 301

DADE CITY, FL – An accident in Pasco County late Friday night claimed the life of a pedestrian, reports Pasco News Online.

The Florida Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene on US-302 south of Clinton Avenue. The FHP learned that a man was walking eastbound across US-301 and entered the path of a northbound Dodge Ram pickup truck. The victim, a 47-year-old man from Dade City, was struck and killed.

The Dodge driver, a 44-year-old Ridge Manor man, was not injured in the incident. State troopers are investigating the cause of the fatal crash.

News: Spring Hill man killed when motorcycle collides with vehicle in Dade City

DADE CITY, FL – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a vehicle in Pasco County on Saturday night, reports Pasco News Online.

The fatal wreck occurred in the 1300 block of Bellamy Brothers Boulevard in Dade City at about 8:25 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of a Lincoln MKX was trying to make a left turn into a private driveway when the operator of a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle entered the vehicle’s path and was hit. The motorcycle rider, a 27-year-old man from Spring Hill, was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Lincoln, a 27-year-old woman from Dade City, was not injured in the incident.

News: Passenger killed when stolen car hits utility pole in Dade City

DADE CITY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a stolen vehicle was involved in a fatal crash in Pasco County on Saturday morning, Patch New Port Richey reports.

The incident occurred in Dade City, in the 33600 block of Clinton Avenue. The FHP said a man was driving a Ford pickup truck believed to have been stolen from Zephyrhills. As he headed east on Clinton Avenue at about 8:40 a.m, the pickup went onto the south shoulder, hit a utility pole, struck a fence and then overturned.

A passenger in the vehicle, a 30-year-old woman from Lakeland, was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver, believed to be a 40-year-old Lakeland man, fled the scene on foot.

News: 2 pickup trucks involved in fatal collision in Pasco County

DADE CITY, FL – Two pickup trucks were involved in a fatal collision in Pasco County early Saturday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Lutz Patch reported details of the wreck that occurred on St. Joe Road near Robert Barns Road at about 2:50 a.m. An investigation indicated that a 63-year-old man was driving a pickup truck west when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the eastbound lane. The pickup collided nearly head-on with another pickup truck that was going east.

The first vehicle overturned and the driver, a Dade City resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle, a 20-year-old Dade City man, and his passenger sustained minor injuries.
