SPRING HILL, FL –  A car accident in Spring Hill late Saturday night left two teenagers dead, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Florida Highway Patrol released details of the fatal wreck, which occurred on Mariner Boulevard at about 11:05 p.m.  The FHP said a 17-year-old male was driving a Toyota Camry southbound and failed to negotiate a curve in the road near Santee Street.

As the car rotated, the teen drove off the road and the vehicle overturned in the front yard of a home on Mariner Boulevard, where it crashed into a tree.

SPRING HILL, FL – Authorities said a driver was killed when his car crashed during storm conditions of Hurricane Idalia on Wednesday morning.

According to WTVT, the accident happened on Saint Joe Road near Interstate 75.  The Florida Highway Patrol said a man was driving a Ford Ranger eastbound at about 6:15 a.m. when his vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree.

The driver, a 40-year-old Spring Hill man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HERNANDO CO., FL – A single-vehicle crash in the Spring Hill area on Sunday night claimed the life of a Hudson woman.

According to a report by the Tampa Free Press, the unidentified woman was heading west on Spring Hill Dive when she lost control of her vehicle near Newhope Road around 7 p.m. The vehicle served off the roadway and slammed into a tree.

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries later on.

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said two vehicles were involved in a fatal crash on State Road 50 in Hernando County early Monday morning.

According to The Free Press, the incident happened east of Mckinney Sink Road at about 2:19 a.m.  Investigators believe that a 63-year-old Spring Hill man was driving a van westbound on SR-50 when he entered the eastbound lane for an unknown reason.

The van crashed nearly head-on into a car driven eastbound by a 22-year-old woman from Spring Hill, causing both vehicles to rotate to a stop.

PASCO CO., FL – A man from Spring Hill as killed in a rollover collision on Bellamy Brothers Boulevard on Wednesday evening.

According to the Tampa Free Press, the 40-year-old man lost control of his pickup truck when approaching Johnston Road at about 6:09 p.m. The truck veered across the northbound lanes, rolled an unknown number of times, and struck a tree.

The unidentified driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No additional injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – A man is facing DUI and manslaughter charges in connection a crash that claimed the life of a Zephyrhills woman on Tuesday night.

According to a report by the Tampa Free Press, the crash happened at about 10 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-75 near milepost 268.

Troopers believe the driver of a Honda Accord, 31-year-old Michael Troy Jones, struck a Chevrolet Cruz driven by a 25-year-old man from Zephyrhills. The Chevrolet then struck the median before colliding with a tree.
